Project Details

The multi-purpose complex consists of a pre-engineered building approximately 423' x 222' x 65' tall, comprising over 92,000 sf of indoor playing area and a connected support structure. The raised observation decks allow for a full view of the playing field. A 4-lane sprint/running track, pole vault area and long jump area are located adjacent to the football field. In addition, computer controlled netting segregates the field into halves to accommodate baseball and softball practices.

The exterior is clad primarily in brick to match the exisiting stadium. Brick accents and cast stone banding continue the stadium detailing. Additional elements of metal and translucent plastic panels comprise the upper 3 zones of the main volume, breaking down the scale and mass while allowing natural daylight into the interior.

The site design features an entry plaza zone with entry awning with a freestanding metal structure rising above the roof plane. This signifies the importance of this entry area and recalling similar elements incorporated in the stadium.

"Everyone doubted them - including me - that they could get this thing done so quickly. I can't thank them enough for the work they did. I don't think I'll ever pass this building without remembering how hard they worked to get it up so quickly."
